16 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 20TH MAY 2025
It was resolved that the Chairman sign these as a correct record of that meeting.
17 CLERKS REPORT
The Clerk had no updates, other than to check if there had been any further problems with vehicles parking long term in the lay by.
Clerk to contact ELDC Enforcement regarding occupation of a caravan on Mumby Long Lane.
18 VILLAGE UPDATE
There were no updates on other village matters. The Clerk had contact Mr Oliver for an update on the Church but had not received reply at the time of the meeting.
19 REPORT FROM OUTSIDE BODIES
There was no representative from LCC
Cllr Eyre (ELDC) gave a brief update on the Local Government Reorganisation plans to divide Lincolnshire into two areas – north and south based on population figures. The Northern half would include Grimsby and Lincoln. Parish Council members felt this would remove local accountability.
20 CORRESPONDENCE
Clerk had circulated email from the Local Government Reorganisation team advising of two virtual meeting dates for Parish Council members.
21 FINANCE
a) Accounts for payment
It was resolved that the following accounts be paid:
Clerks salary & PAYE (June/JulY) £721.50
Wren Farm – meeting room £15.00
LALC Subs £170.72
R. Aldrich – grass £739.00
b) Income/Expenditure to 30th June
This was noted. The Clerk confirmed that it did not include the N S & I money as there had been no income/expenditure in that period.
22 PLANNING
2400/25 – Arborlow Farm – 3 holiday lodges and fishing lakes.
The application had been circulated to members and objections noted from neighbours. After discussion it was resolved to object to the proposal on the grounds of additional traffic on the already narrow lane which is unsuitable for what could be potentially 24 vehicles (as noted on the site plan). There are no shops locally in the area within walking distance which would mean occupants of the lodges making vehicle journeys to access provisions meaning the proposal was unsustainable. Should ELDC approve the application, the Council would like to see more screening both on boundary and within the site.
Other Planning Matters:
It was noted that there appeared to be several areas in the village where buildings had been erected without apparent planning permission and the siting of a static caravan without planning permission. Clerk to report all to ELDC Enforcement.
23 PYLON ROUTE
It was resolved to object again on grounds of visual intrusion, noise and disruption.
24 NEXT MEETING
This was confirmed at 16th September 2025
25 ANY OTHER MATTERS
It was noted that now Listoft Lane had been resurfaced, vehicles were travelling at greater speeds. There are two livery yards down the lane and several sharp blind bends. It was agreed to ask LCC for blind bend signs and Slow Horses signs.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.40pm
