MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETING
HELD 16th July 2024

There were no members of the public.
15 APOLOGIES
Apologies and valid reasons for absence were received from Cllr Smith and these were accepted.
16 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were none.
17 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 21ST MAY 2024
It was resolved that these be signed as a correct record of that meeting.
18 UPDATES FROM THAT MEETING/CLERKS REPORT
Road Sign on Long Lane – reported (and moved round, but still low)
Chevrons – back up but lights still missing.
PK Littlejohn confirmed receipt of exempt from full audit status.
VAT – Claim had been submitted for 23 / 24 year.
19 VILLAGE MATTERS
The Clerk confirmed having received the Title Deeds in the name of Mumby Parish Council for the allotment land.
It was agreed to write to RD Timber to thank them for the planters, and for erecting the No Pylons banners.
It was understood that someone was looking to take over the Church for workshops, Clerk to write for further information. It was felt that having the Church in use would be good for the village and that in principle this would be a good idea.
20 REPORT FROM OUTSIDE BODIES
Cllr Eyre had nothing to report from ELDC other than the new Leisure Centre in Mablethorpe would be opening shortly. The project had cost some £13.5m and included a swimming pool and gym equipment, quiet rooms and a refreshment area.
21 CORRESPONDENCE
The Clerk had received an anonymous letter regarding several planning matters in the village and she noted that the same letter was on ELDC planning site.
22 FOOTPATH ORDER
The Clerk read out letter from LCC footpaths – the officer was collating information to send to Sec of State for determination. Clerk to ask Cllr Davie (LCC) if he could advise on the date the application was formally lodged with Sec of State.
23 FINANCIAL
Cllr Bradley declared a personal interest with regard to payments to R. Aldrich and did not take part in voting in item a) below.
a) It was resolved that the following accounts be paid:
Clerks salary & PAYE (June/July) £694.20
Wren Farm (meeting room) £ 15.00
R. Aldrich (half year grass cutting) £739.00
The Clerk confirmed having received fees for burial and 3 reservations in the cemetery at £840.00
b) Income/expenditure to end June – noted
c) On Line Banking.
After discussion it was resolved to upgrade Cllr Taylor’s permissions on line to allow for payments to be made by bank transfer if required. Cllr Taylor would then authorise any payments.
Financial Regulations to be amended to reflect this.
24 PLANNING
There were no applications or decisions to note.

This was set at 17th September 2024

Cllr Robinson raised the matter of the dangerous manhole in the footpath running alongside A52 – Clerk to report.
Clerk to request LCC to cut back hedge on their layby.
