MUMBY PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETING
HELD 15th October 2024
Present: Cllr Taylor (Chair); Cllrs Bradley, Smith, Morlini & McCaig

There were no members of the public present.
41 APOLOGIES
Apologies and valid reasons for absence were received from Cllr Robinson. The Clerk advised that Cllr Robinson has tendered her resignation due to health reasons. Clerk to inform ELDC Returning Officer.
42 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were none
43 MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 17TH SEPTEMBER 2024
It was resolved that the Chairman sign these as a correct record of that meeting.
44 CLERKS REPORT
- Layby A52 – work completed
- Pavement Cumberworth Road junction – work completed
- Clerk responded to correspondence from resident raised at the last meeting regarding speeding.
- Clerk written to potential occupier of Church asking for Parish Council to be kept informed on progress and plans.
45 OUTSTANDING VILLAGE MATTERS
There were none. It was noted that the mobile speed vehicle had been in the village.
46 REPORTS FROM OUTSIDE BODIES
Cllr Eyre (ELDC) advised that there was the Community Grants available for community organisations of up to £2000.
47 CORRESPONDENCE
ELDC Future4Mee worker – helping young people to complete unpaid community work if there was anything that the Parish Council thought they could do.
Woodland Trust – Free Trees available, Clerk to enquire if these were for public land only.
48 CHRISTMAS TREE
Cllr Smith to enquire if the Red Lion wanted a tree for the village again and to liaise with Cllr Bradley.
49 FINANCIAL
a) Accounts for payment:
It was resolved that the following account be paid:
Clerks salary & PAYE ((October) £347.10
(authorised to be paid by Bank Transfer)
Meeting Room Hire (cheque) £ 15.00
b) Income and expenditure to 30th September – noted.
50 INITIAL BUDGET/PRECEPT 25/26
Initial figures were presented to members – for consideration at the next meeting ready for application in January 2025.
51 PLANNING
There were no applications or decisions to note
52 NEXT MEETING
This was noted as 19th November 2024
53 ANY OTHER MATTERS/ITEMS NEXT AGENDA
Pylons – meeting at the Axe & Cleaver Monday 21st organised by UK Reform, LCC had joined with other County Councils to employ a KC to challenge National Grid.
