MINUTES OF THE ORDINARY MEETING HELD

17th March 2026

 

Present:  Cllrs Bradley (in the chair); Taylor, Morlini

78          APOLOGIES

                There were no apologies received.

79          DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

                There were none.

80          MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 17TH FEBRUARY 2026             

                It was resolved that the Chairman sign the minutes of that meeting as a correct record.

81          UPDATES FROM THAT MEETING

                Minute 67 – Footpath blocked Coots Lane – Clerk asked LCC to deal with this.

                Minute 68 – Static caravan – Clerk chasing ELDC Enforcement who have carried out a site visit.

                Minute 75 – Cllr Bradley has spare key to notice board.  Clerk yet to arrange new backing.

82          GENERAL VILLAGE MATTERS

                Footpath Modification Order – LCC officers confirmed still processing and collating paperwork to send to Planning Inspectorate.  Officer confirmed that should any planning application be submitted affecting the proposal LCC would be consulted.

                Substantial branch down from tree on village green, Clerk to report (note, already reported)

83          REPORTS OUTSIDE BODIES

                Cllr Eyre (ELDC) had nothing to report other than reorganisation process still being undertaken.

84          LAND REGISTRY ENQUIRIES

                Deferred to next meeting.

85          CORRESPONDENCE

                Clerks and Councils Direct – noted

86          FINANCE

                It was resolved that the following accounts be paid:

                Clerks salary & PAYE (March)                                                              £360.75

                Reimburse Red Lion Christmas Tree                                               £  40.00

                Wren Farm Meeting room                                                                      £   15.00

87          PLANNING

                Application received for lodges and café/restaurant off Breckon Lane, Hogsthorpe – received as adjacent to parish boundary.  Observations to be sent requesting holiday use only and not permanent occupancy, and substantial landscaping and screening required.

 

 

88          ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

                It was agreed not to hold a separate evening meeting, but to hold immediately prior to Annual Council Meeting in May.

89          DATE OF NEXT MEETING

                This was confirmed as 21st April 2026.

90          ANY OTHER MATTERS

                There were no other matters.

 

There being no further business the meeting closed at 7.30pm
