DRAFT MINUTES OF THE EXTRA ORDINARY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

16 APOLOGIES
Cllr Eyre (ELDC) sent his apologies
17. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Cllr Bradley declared a personal non pecuniary interest in the planning item as adjacent land owner.
18 PLANNING APPLICATION N125/1107/22
Application to change use of caravan site to site 52 mobile home lodges – Nursery Caravan Park, Coots Lane.
Application details had been circulated to members. The Chair read out an anonymous letter of objection raising concerns at existing problems faced by residents on the coast accessing services due to heavy demand from visitors, existing number of such sites in the area and impact on limited resources, and existing appeal notice for the site which stated the site was not suitable for static caravans.
Members then discussed the application, and raised various concerns and it was proposed, seconded and resolved (unanimous vote) that the Parish Council object to the proposal on the following grounds:
- Adequacy of drainage, potential to increase existing smells
- Access and highway safety – no suitable passing place on Coots Lane
- Traffic generation – no facilities on site will mean visitors travel to access amenities which is against sustainability.
- Concern for children close to a working farm and accessing site along narrow single track lane with no footpath and limited street lighting.
- No economic benefit to the village.

It was proposed, seconded and resolved that the following payment be made:
NBB (seat) £276.60
