Minutes of the Council Meeting

Held 19th September 2023

 

Present:  Cllr Taylor (Chairman); Cllrs Morlini, Bradley

Mrs J. Cooper (Parish Clerk)

 

There were no members of the public

 

28        APOLOGIES

            Apologies and valid reasons for absence were received from Cllrs Smith and Robinson and these were accepted.

29        DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

            There were none

30        MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD 18TH JULY 2023

            It was resovled that these be signed by the Chairman as a correct record.

31        CLERKS UPDATE/REPORT FOLLOWING THAT MEETING

            Minute 20 – Enforcement Officer thanked for his work in the area.

            Minute 22 – All litter picking kits had been given out.

            Minute 24 – Cllr Taylor completed his paperwork to be added to the signature list.

            Minute 27 – It is understood Cllr Smith has the signs.

32        OUTSTANDING VILLAGE MATTERS

            Car Sales – clerk requested an update from ELDC.  It was noted that there has been several different cars and multiple cars being offered for sale still.

            Bus Shelter – Clerk requested an update from LCC.  It was noted the barriers had been removed, leaving the support anchors.

            Street Light – Reported via Fix My Street

            Footpath Diversion – Clerk to contact LCC for an update

            Wood Storage – Clerk to ask for an update

33        REPORTS FROM OUTSIDE BODIES

            Cllr Eyre (ELDC) had nothing to report

34        GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE

            There was none

35        OUTER DOWSING

            Clerk gave a brief update, the onshore substation will not be built north of Alford, the alternative site south of Boston is being looked at. The cabling will still come ashore Anderby area and be laid west of the line of the A52, which may have some impact on Mumby.

36        COMMUNICATING WITH RESIDENTS

            It was agreed to defer this for the next meeting.

37        GRASS CUTTING CONTRACT

            This was due for renewal after October for the years 2024 2025 and 2026.  It was agreed to add hedge cutting in the cemetery area and strimming around the bus shelter to keep clear of weeds and tidy.

 

39        FINANCE

            It was resolved that the following be paid:

            Clerks salary & PAYE (Aug/Sept)                                             £650.86

            Wren Farm (room hire)                                                          £  15.00

            Clerk to get Cllr Robinson to counter sign cheques.

40        PLANNING

            There were no applications.

            Decision 1091/23 – Stables Mumby Road, Hogsthorpe – conditionally approved (to be in accordance with plans, not for commercial use, any external lighting to be approved).

41        NEXT MEETING

            Agreed as 17th October 2023

42        ANY OTHER MATTERS/ITEMS NEXT AGENDA

            There were no other matters for discussion.
